My name is Sierra Michelle Hattan.
My dad named me Sierra because he loves the mountains, and the mountain life, and so do I.
My mom named me Michelle because it is also her middle name. This way I always have a piece of her with me.
It’s good to know where you come from.
I have green eyes just like my Grandma Beeder’s. I like to think that this way I always have a piece of her with me as well.
I love to laugh, just like my Grandpa Beeder. Sharing laughter is just like sharing him with the world.
I play the piano, just like my Grandma Hattan. We both love music. I like making my own.
I love quietly and fiercely, like my Grandpa Hattan. My family is very important.
This is where I come from.
This is what I bring.
I love to move.
I love to ride my bike, and I love to run. I run a mile almost every day.
I love swimming and I love diving.
I love yoga. I love my yoga teacher, Ms. Darcie.
I love to climb. I love to see the world from the top.
I love skiing, and feeling like I am flying over the snow-covered ground.
I love to work. I love my job at the Aquatic Center.
I love to read, and I love to write.
I don’t love math.
I love the winter more than I love the summer.
I love backpacking with my mom and fishing with my dad.
I love people, I love animals, I love happiness.
Someday, I want to be in the Olympics.
Someday, I want to be a wildlife biologist.
Someday, I want to teach yoga.
Someday, I want to be a veterinarian.
Everyday, I want to be myself.
I love myself.
